Sometimes Lennie the old model came, always her head to the sky. When she stopped modelling there was an exhibition of over 50 painters who had worked with her for over 40 years. There were days when she would fall asleep standing. We would all get up for the coffee break, and she would just stand on the stage like a stone statue, until we called her and she’d wake up..
