One of my personal heroes. Herman was a Rock ‘n’ Roll Singer, a poet, and a painter. As a painter he was colour blind and mostly extremely fast, sometimes making 50 paintings a day! I met him a couple of times. One time in his house, he hang around my neck and then started reading from his sketchbook. The first page of the sketchbook said: ‘This book was very expensive.’ The second page: ‘That seemed to be the best for all of us..’ Herman was severely ill from his drug addictions. So He jumped of the roof of the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam straight into His Syringe Rocket. One of his favorite sayings was: ‘We are heading for a Golden Future…’
