Working on Skull Butterfly and Dead Butterfly Clown. First I create this old parchment like paper by washing 300 grams water color paper with multiple layers of yellow ocher and sepia paint. Then a light slight pencil sketch, not much worked out, more to have the right proportions and placement on the paper. Sometimes I start with sepia’s and ink, but more often I start painting with all colours immediately. After the colouring I apply the black Indian ink lines.
